Excursion is a rich collection of signs collected in the streets of Marseille, a nice walk on memory lane, and a necessary  typographical survey of disappearing signs of our past. But not only that. It is also a sharp and playful graphic project, and most of all a stimulating “method” of type design. The original book is here completed with specimen displaying 5 typefaces, in a fashion that reminds Cassandre’s own type booklets
