Volume #1
What You See Is What You Hear
Volume is a magazine of contemporary art dedicated to sound. This #1 issue sets out the first markers for an approach that seeks to ask the questions raised by the growing presence of sound in the field of art. A practice with a history, references, with artists from many different horizons but who nevertheless sometimes meet: from the avant-garde to rock music, from technology to poetry, from serialism to sculpture... In particular, it means dealing with the questions of representation, space, and time. But above all, Volume offers multiple points of views and speaks with a resolutely engaged tone, rooted in contemporary creation.
