In Spring 2012, the Kojima Foundation for the Franco-Japanese entente cordiale hosted the residency of French artist Hubert Renard. He arrived without a specific project in mind, or preconceived ideas or clear objective. He wandered in Tokyo, Kyoto and the Kanto region, letting the cities and the people guide his movement. He produced along the way a series of installations, actions and interventions that this publication attempts to reconstitute.
