Maxime Tétard’s [photo]graphic outlook on the world has been positively corrupted by her practice as a designer at the Les Graphiquants studio. Or maybe it’s the other way round, her graphical style corrupted by her photographer’s eye. Her assemblages (she calls them contreversions) walk us through a deceptively innocent universe, both geometrical and poetic.
Originally, this was a print edition of 9 plates for framing. On the screen, the complete series is shown in its original form, i.e. photographs of collages instead of the digital assemblages prepared for the layout of the print version. In the end, this book is almost more physical, less digital.
